Helen V. Miller, 99, of Brownsville MD, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at her home.

     Born November 26, 1910 in Brunswick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Blanche S. Hovermale Miller.

     She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Brownsville, MD

     She was a career Army nurse stationed overseas in Germany and Korea; her service stateside included Walter Reed and Albuquerque, NM as well as Carlisle, PA. She later retired from the Army Nurse Corp-USAR with the rank of Lieutenant Col. after more than 20 years of Federal Service.

     She is survived by one brother, Robert E. Miller of Eugene, Oregon; Several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Harrison and Roberta Younkins; One brother, Howard F. Miller.

     Services and interment  will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
