Paul Kenneth Mills, 81, of Knoxville, Maryland, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Born on October 26, 1928, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard and Altie (Downs) Mills.

His wife, Anna L. (Reynolds) Mills preceded him in death in 2006.

Paul was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion in Baltimore, Maryland.

Paul retired in 1989 from Pangborn Corporation.

He was a devoted grandfather and was well know for his passion and constant participation in his grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his son Randy Mills and his wife Lisa of Knoxville, Maryland; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Mills of Knoxville, Maryland and Melody Mills of Brunswick, Maryland;  two sisters, Dorothy and her husband Russell Fravel of Tennessee and Faye Virts Fleming and her husband Richard of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; three brothers, Howard Pete Mills of Knoxville, Maryland, Ralph Mills and his wife Peggy of Kearneysville, West Virginia and Ortence Mills and his wife Jeanette of Martinsburg, West Virginia; eight grandsons, Greg, Paul, Larry, Tony, Mark, Jeremiah and Jordy Mills and Zachary Yinger; and five great-grandchildren, Cruz, Payton, Anthony, Logan and Mason.

In addition to his wife, Paul was preceded in death by his two sons Anthony L. Mills and Lee K. Mills and two sisters Rachel Gibbs and Diane Mills.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.  Father James K. Hamrick will officiate.  Interment will follow at Brownsville Heights Cemetery in Brownsville, Maryland.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p.m.
