Frances V. Jones, 98, of Boonsboro, Maryland, died on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital.

Born on November 28, 1911 in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Vinton C. and Edith Elizabeth (Martz) Jones.

She was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Rohrersville, Maryland.

Throughout her life Frances had been employed with the Dodson House (Old South Mountain Inn) in Boonsboro, Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown, and Price Electric in Frederick.  She retired from the Washington County Board of Education having worked at the Boonsboro Middle School.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Nancy Cronise of Boonsboro; two grandsons, Douglas and David Cronise, both of Boonsboro; 5 great-granchildren and 4 great-great-granchildren.   She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her son, Donald E. Cronise; her three brothers and her one sister.

Services will be private.  Interment will take place at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Post Office Box B, Rohrersville, Maryland, 21779.

We are so sorry for your loss, Please except our condolence, I will miss her very dearly, She had taught me so much over the yrs. She really had a lot to offer,She was a very knowledgeable of a lot of things,My heart just breaks knowing that my friend is gone. My grand children will miss her they visited her every day to ( check on her) That's what my grand daughter would say.
