 Randall L. Weagley, CFSP
Funeral Director/Mortician
Randy has been a funeral director and embalmer for 23 years. He joined the firm in May, 2009 after having previously served for 7 years as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Joseph Gawler’s Sons Funeral Directors, Inc. in Washington, DC.
Randy is a native of Hagerstown and a 1984 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. Following high school, he earned his Business Degree at Hagerstown Community College. Randy continued his professional funeral service studies and earned his degree in Baltimore, Maryland. Randy also holds the proud distinction of participation in the Dale Carnegie Studies Programs.
Serving for 10 years as the Manager of a funeral firm in Laurel, Maryland, Randy was an active community member. He served as President of the Laurel Lions Club and further was Zone Chairman and an active participant with the Lions of District 22-C. He also was active with the Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce having risen to service as the Chairman of the Board. Mr. Weagley has maintained active ties to various Hospice organizations in Maryland, the American Cancer Society and also served on the Board of Directors for the Sibley Hospital Senior Association Widowed Persons Service in Washington, DC.
Randy spent 11 years serving in various mid-level management positions with a funeral company based from Houston, Texas. In the Maryland and Washington, DC Divisions, Randy worked as Area Vice President and Atlantic Region Director of Business Development with direct management responsibilities for as many as 22 individual funeral homes and cemeteries. In 2002, Randy was promoted to the position with Joseph Gawler’s Sons, Inc.
Holding distinction for 158 years, Joseph Gawler’s Sons, Inc. has been the chosen funeral professional firm for many notable individuals in the Nation’s Capitol. Having conducted services for seven (7) United States Presidents, Gawler’s has conducted funeral ceremonies for many Congressional Representatives and Senators, Members of the Supreme Court, State Officials, Cabinets Members, as well as Senior Foreign Dignitaries.

Mr. Weagley’s Professional Accreditations include professional mortuary licensure in the State of Maryland, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. Randy is certified as a Funeral Service Practitioner through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
Bill Dellinger
Bill Dellinger was born and raised on a farm on Sharpsburg Pike close to Hagerstown. After completing a degree at University of Maryland, he entered the Navy and served four years during the Vietnam era. Bill then worked for the Washington County Department of Social Services for 10 years and then entered the insurance industry. He has been employed with Quality First Insurance Agency for 23 years. Bill married his wife Vicky in 1973 and they have one daughter, Rebecca, and two grandchildren. Bill and Vicky are members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro and in their free time enjoy gardening, travel, antique shopping, but have the most fun spending time with their grandchildren.

R. Thomas Fralin Jr.
R. Thomas Fralin Jr. served as pastor of Brownsville Church of the Brethren from 1978-1999. He then served as associate pastor at Frederick Church of the Brethren, where he is a member, until his retirement in 2006. For more than twenty years, he has served as chaplain of the Boonsboro Ambulance and Rescue Co. 69. and has also served as a volunteer chaplain for Hospice of Washington County. He and his wife have two children, five grandchildren and have lived in Sharpsburg since 1995. Tom enjoys gardening, photography, travel and most importantly, grandparenting. He joined the funeral home in 2000 and currently serves as interim pastor at Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren.

Henrietta K. (Retta) Fralin
Henrietta K. (Retta) Fralin, Tom's wife of 46 years, was employed as library media specialist at Pleasant Valley Elementary School for 25 years, retiring in 2004. She is a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. She has been with the funeral home since her retirement and is currently works as an organist/pianist at the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Retta enjoys reading and cheering her five grandchildren on at their many sporting events.

Ruann Newcomer George
Ruann Newcomer George was born and raised in the community of Benevola. She is now the fifth generation of Newcomers living on the family farm and the seventh generation living in the community. In fact, her great, great, great, great grandfather, Peter Newcomer, served in the militia of Washington County in the Revolutionary War. In 2000, Ruann retired from middle school instrumental teaching in Loudoun County, Virginia Public Schools after 33 years of service. Ruann and her husband Jack, a semi-retired small business owner, have been married for 36 years. Ruann is a member of Benevola United Methodist Church where she serves as organist and choir director. She serves our community as State Regent for the Maryland State Society Daughters of the American Revolution and as a Chief Judge at the Boonsboro High School for the Washington County Board of Elections. Ruann joined the funeral home staff in 2000.

Richard W. Gross
Richard W. Gross was born and raised on the family farm in Mt. Carmel, Maryland, near Boonsboro. Richard retired from Allegheny Power after 33 years of employment, then worked for Fireside Home Remodeling for 5 years, then retired, after 12 years of service, from Miller Lumber Company. He is a former Boonsboro Town Councilman serving his community for 24 years in many capacities. He is a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Rohrersville where he plays the organ. He also plays the organ at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church and Sharpsburg UCC. A drummer for the Rohrersville Band, Dick is the second oldest active member. Richard is also a long-time volunteer for the first grade classes at Smithsburg Elementary School. Richard and his wife Deborah Thompson, a Wal-Mart employee, have been married four years and currently live in Hagerstown. He has been with the funeral home since 1999.

Ralph Jamison
Ralph Jamison grew up in Knoxville, Maryland and relocated to Boonsboro in 1961. He served as pastor of Chestnut Grove Bible Church for seven years and pastor of Knoxville Bible Church from where he retired after 25 years of service. He also worked for 20 years at Harper & Row Publishing in Hagerstown. Ralph continues to serve his community by preaching at Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren and Sharpsburg Bible Church where he and his wife of 11 years, Dorothy, are members. In his free time, Ralph enjoys reading, gardening and teaching adult Sunday School classes. Ralph joined the funeral home staff in 2003.

Bonnie Palamar
Bonnie Palamar was born and raised in Keedysville. After earning her cosmetology license, she owned and operated her own beauty shop in Keedysville for many years. After selling the business she worked as the staff cosmetologist at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, from where she retired after 18 years of service. She lives in Hagerstown, Maryland, with her husband of 43 years, Tom, who retired from the Board of Education. Bonnie has three children, Thomas, Jr., Kelli and June. In addition to her duties at the funeral home, where she has worked since 1993, she also cares for her grandchildren while their parents work and she is a member of the Ladies of the Elks. In her free time, Bonnie enjoys line dancing and bingo.

Patty Smith
Patty Smith has lived in Keedysville with her husband of 15 years, Robert, and two sons, Page and Nicholas since 2005. Patty and Rob met in Heidelberg, Germany while Patty was visiting her sister and Rob was stationed with the military. Rob works as a property manager and is a commissioned Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army. Patty’s work at Hospice of Washington County led her to her current position at the funeral home where she has been employed since 2008. She also works part-time at Potomac Case Management in Hagerstown, Maryland. She is the leader of Stephen Ministry, a lay caring ministry, at Salem United Methodist Church. In her free time, Patty enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities.
